I like to think that I'm the artist's tattoo artist. The best thing about tattooing is its interactive nature. Nothing is more satisfying than creating an original piece for a client that is as unique as s/he is. The customer likewise is satisfied no one else will ever have his design. Tattooing was originally for the beautification of the human form to appease the gods that you had earned their protection, respect, and acceptance. It marked you as an individual; it was a rite of passage. To uphold this tradition I design custom tattoos, recreate personal works of art, or repair the results of "scratchers".
Tattooing is as liberating for
the artist as it is for the client. Very often a customer will
challenge me to combine ideas in a novel way; an unpredictable
style emerges that may influence my painting just as my painting
may influence my tattoo designs. I am comfortable working in a
variety of styles and live to create ink that surpasses my client's
wishes. If you can conceive of it; I can do it.
